TEDGlobal is heading to Latin America. In October 2014, at the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, join us to celebrate the outpouring of innovation, dynamism and creativity taking place all over South America and the global South. Fresh thinking can be found in every direction, in emerging geographies as well as in the western hemisphere. Prepare to have your world turned upside down.

Come to Rio for TEDGlobal 2014.

After seven years traveling the world, TEDGlobal is headed “South!”

TEDGlobal 2014 is setting up shop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a true megalopolis of 6 million people that’s growing at a fast pace. Based at the Copacabana Palace Hotel, we’ll present a speaker program with a significant focus on the many facets of the Global South’s rise in influence and power — while including relevant new stories from the rest of the world. The traditional TED format is maintained: 3- to 18-minute stage talks, interspersed with music and performance, plus tech demos, exhibits and the famous TED parties. Apply to attend »
